The Marion SWCD Conservation Learning Education and Resources (CLEAR) Grant advances the mission of the District by providing funding to other organizations for the support of conservation education and community events that promote natural resource conservation. Eligible applicants include: nonprofit organizations, educational institutions, government agencies, community organizations, neighborhood associations and Native American tribes.

*In order to be eligible for CLEAR funding, the project or events must meet these criteria:

1. Must advance the mission of the Marion SWCD "to protect, conserve and improve the quality of soil and water in Marion County",
2. Must address one or more of the following: Water Quality & Conservation, Soil Quality & Conservation, and/or Sustainable Land Use
3. In addition, it must be located within the Marion SWCD District boundary and/or directly benefit citizens of the District

If you believe that your project/program is eligible and want to apply for funding, download and follow the CLEAR program instructions. After reviewing the instructions, please download and complete the CLEAR application and submit it to Ron Crouse, Education and Outreach Coordinator, via email. Two signed hard copies must also be submitted via mail or dropped off to the Marion SWCD Office. If you are unable to complete an electronic application, a handwritten form is available at our office.
