The Marion SWCD offers effective programs for solving natural resource based problems. For projects outside of the scope of our own grant programs, we offer assistance in seeking other funds to get your project on the ground. View our Conservation Opportunities Brochure for information on the many funding opportunities available for your conservation project.

Click on the program name below for information on how to participate. If you have other natural resource management needs, feel free to contact our office and the staff will try to find another avenue to keep your project moving forward.

• Landowner Assistance Program - Marion SWCD has its own grant program, called the Landowner Assistance Program, that was developed to help fund proven conservation practices on private land. Planning and technical assistance is also available to get you from idea to implementation.
• Special Projects Grant Program - Do you have a project that is non-traditional or innovative. Apply for a Special Project Grant to turn your idea into a reality.
• Manure Exchange Program - Are you a livestock manager or do you just have a few animals around the property? Either way, we can help you find a home for your excess manure so that when the rains come they don't leave on their own.
• Native Plant & Tree Sale - Every March the Marion SWCD helps you jump-start your native plant collection by hosting our Annual Plant & Tree Sale. Get those great looking native plants in sizes and quantities that are manageable and affordable.
• Education Programs - We also have some great educational and volunteer opportunities for the conservation minded citizen. Check out our Education Programs for some fantastic learing opportunities.
