First Friday: Native Fish of the Willamette Basin

First Fridays are held on the first Friday of every month (except July) from 12-1 pm via Zoom. Join Marion SWCD staff and subject matter experts to learn something new and ask questions about soil and water conservation and a wide array of related topics.

Oct 6 First Friday.

Brian Bangs, Aquatic Ecologist with US Fish & Wildlife Service, will talk about the diversity of native nongame fish (shiners, dace, and suckers, etc.) and their role in the larger ecology. He’ll also discuss species in recovery (chub, bull trout, salmon, and steelhead) and outline several actions landowners can take to help out.
