Ribes aureum
Golden currant is mostly found east of the Cascades, but is adaptable and can grow in our area. It has tubular fragrant yellow flowers that attract hummingbirds in spring. In summer, berries ripen to yellow, orange, red, or black and provide food to birds. In autumn, the leaves turn red before falling.
