Roseanne Yoder, horticulturist at the Oregon Garden, will discuss the work being done in the native plant demonstration garden. Free take-home resources on native plants will be provided.

Ray Temple will cover the importance of cleaning bird nesting boxes annually, the role of proper siting for easier maintenance, and the tools and precautions for the job. Stephanie Hazen, veterinarian, will explain the need for sanitation of bird feeders, how to select the right feeders, and steps to reduce the risk of disease and parasites.

We will divide the class into two groups and everyone will have the opportunity to rotate through both learning stations. We will raffle off the nesting boxes and bird feeders at the end of the workshop. Must be present to win.

Plan to arrive by 9:45.
