The Ankeny Hill Nature Center has multiple ways to explore the wildlife and native habitats of the Willamette Valley. From hikes to hands-on discovery spaces, The Center is designed so visitors of any age, interest, or ability can find ways to interpret nature. The Center takes advantage of its location at the Ankeny National Wildlife Refuge to provide multiple educational environments including media exhibitions, the Nature Explore area for kids, outlooks and learning stations along accessible pathways and discovery elements throughout the Refuge.

The District delivers water to three hydroelectric plants, municipal water to the City of Stayton, cooling water to Norpac Foods, irrigation water for over 17,000 acres and other various uses such as fish propagation, wildlife habit and wetland maintenance.

The FSA’s mission is to equitably serve all farmers, ranchers, and agricultural partners through the delivery of effective, efficient agricultural programs for all Americans. FSA holds its meetings once a month to discuss with its constituents their programs and the policies that dictate their process.
NRCS is an agency committed to “helping people help the land” — their mission is to provide resources to farmers and landowners to aid them with conservation. Ensuring productive lands in harmony with a healthy environment is their priority. The NRCS holds its work group meetings once a year with local stakeholders to discuss natural resource concerns in the county. This information is used by the NRCS to develop priorities for their long term strategic plan.
The Partners for Fish and Wildlife Program provides free technical and financial assistance to landowners, managers, tribes, corporations, schools and nonprofits interested in improving wildlife habitat on their land. Since 1987, we have helped more than 60,000 landowners restore more than 7 million acres of forest, prairie, wetland and stream habitat for wildlife.
