Distribution In Oregon this plant has been found in Curry, Coos, and Benton Counties.
Control If found, report to OregonInvasivesHotline.org. Digging may help remove small infestations but because stems break easily and stems root and develop stolons, forming thick mats of vegetation.
Reproduction and Spread Seeds and plants spread via right-of-way maintenance, logging, livestock movement and ornamental plant trade.
Introduced Native to France, Spain and Portugal.
Impact Forms dense stands and outcompetes native vegetation in disturbed sites, riparian areas and forests.
