Fraxinus latifolia
Broadleaved deciduous tree with grayish-brown bark and olive green leaves. This is an important plant in wetlands and along streams where it stabilizes soils, survives seasonal flooding and drought, and provides habitat for a wide array of wildlife. Abundant seeds are eaten by birds and squirrels.
