Plant Description

This large, fast growing evergreen conifer is highly valued for lumber and Christmas trees as well as wildlife habitat. It is the state tree of Oregon. Doug-firs can live over 1000 years and have thick bark that enables them to survive moderate fire. Common in forests all around the Pacific Northwest.
