Camassia leichtlinii ssp suksdorfii
Herbaceous perennial with star-like flowers ranging in color from creamy white to dark blue-violet blooming along a tall stalk in spring. Grows from a bulb which, with common camas, was collected as an important food source for native people of the Willamette Valley. They can form large colonies in dappled light if allowed to go to seed. An important plant in oak savannahs and oak woodlands.
