According to Wyatt Williams with Oregon Department of Forestry, “Since it was first found in the Detroit, Michigan area back in 2002, EAB has become the most destructive and costliest forest pest ever to invade North America.” Once Emerald Ash Borer is established, it decimates ash populations, leaving waterways exposed and vulnerable to degradation. The long anticipated first sighting of Emerald Ash Borer in Oregon occurred in Forest Grove recently.  Find out how to respond to the looming threat posed by this pest.

Presenter Christine Buhl is a Forest Entomologist with Oregon Department of Forestry.
