Event Series Event Series: First Fridays

First Friday: Woody Weed ID & Control

First Fridays are held on the first Friday of every month (except July) from 12-1 pm via Zoom. Join Marion SWCD staff and subject matter experts to ask questions and learn something new about soil and water conservation and a wide array of related topics.

Sarah Hamilton (Marion SWCD’s Native & Invasive Plant Specialist) will provide an overview of several common and a couple lesser known woody invasive species and describe methods and resources for their management. Species covered include: English Ivy, Old Man’s Beard, Scotch Broom, Spurge Laurel, and more.
