Trillium albidum
Giant white wake-robin is a low growing perennial and one of the largest trilliums. It has three mottled green leaves that grow in a triangular formation with a three-petalled white flower arising without a stalk from the center. A long-lived plant, it grows well in moist forest understories and shady gardens, where it can form a gorgeous groundcover. It is called wake-robin because they sometimes bloom in very early spring as the robins begin to build nests.
