Narrowleaf Mule’s Ear

Wyethia angustifolia

Plant Description

Narrowleaf mule’s ear is a pretty perennial with 3″ wide yellow sunflower-like flowers and long, narrow, lance-shaped leaves. It blooms from mid-spring to mid-summer and attracts a variety of  butterflies and pollinators. It prefers full sun and well-drained soils, but isn’t too fussy. A favorite among wildflower enthusiasts, it is also an excellent plant for rock gardens and meadowscapes.
