Pacific Waterleaf

Hydrophyllum tenuipes
Pacific waterleaf is a lush groundcover in moist forests and woodlands. Large, soft, hairy leaves are born on short herbaceous stems emerging directly from the ground. Clusters of greenish-white flowers bloom in on stalks above the leaves. On drier sites, it will go dormant during the heat of the summer. In ideal conditions, it can spread readily to form a delicate green carpet. Pollinators love the delicate flowers.
