Red-Flowering Currant

Size: 1 gallon

Ribes sanguineum

Red-flowering currant is a beautiful ornamental shrub with flowers that may be white to pink to deep red. It blooms in early to late spring, with bluish fruits in late summer. The flowers attract hummingbirds, butterflies, and gardeners. The tart fruits are eaten by birds and can be used for jams or pies (with a lot of sugar). This is one of our most prized native plants for yards and gardens!
