Festuca roemeri
Roemer’s fescue is a unique perennial bunchgrass with a fine texture, blue-green color, and shorter stature. It is very hardy and drought tolerant. An important grass of upland prairie and grasslands of the Willamette Valley, it provides an important nutrition source for wildlife and butterfly larvae. Plant in full sun and well-drained soils and don’t mow more than 2-3 times per year to a height of at least 2-3 inches.
