A flat-topped white perennial flower with fern-like leaves, yarrow can be used as a drought–tolerant lawn substitute and can even be mowed. It has a long bloom season from mid-spring to mid-autumn. Yarrow can be aggressive in yards and gardens, so be sure to plant appropriately. It provides great habitat for butterflies and pollinators.
