Farmers and rural residents have needs and interests related to their geographic location and lifestyle. Marion SWCD works with farmers and rural residents in the following ways:
Find out the programs we have for our urban residents such as pollinators, wildlife habitat, and pesticide stewardship.
Marion SWCD has an extensive list of educational kits you can borrow for up to two weeks, as well as funding for field trips and other projects that promote conservation.
If you plan on engaging in forestry, you should first develop a management plan. A current forest management plan can help you qualify for grants and conservation programs through ODF and other agencies.
